I have a rich clinical background in working with individuals and their families dealing with issues related to substance abuse. I work from a family systems perspective, believing that family members must also get support in learning how to live with the disease of addiction. I very much support 12-step work, especially in the early stages of recovery. I also believe that, just as our lives follow a developmental cycle, so does addiction and recovery follow it’s own unique developmental cycle and I will work with individuals and their families struggling with addiction related issues in this context.
I am currently on staff as an Associate Therapist with The Addictions Institute in Menlo Park California.
